SAC fetish started with a little shop at Bugis Village (Singapore) back in 2003, 15th November.
We started off selling ONLY bags that will explain how our company name came about.
"SAC" means Bag in French
fetish means- Excessive or irrational devotion to some activity
Needless for us to explain more I guess...
Having a LOVE for natural material, we retailed the Jute and Straw bags which are all exclusively self-designed by the owner, Ms Shundy Sarah, herself.
Both the Jute and Straw bags are imported from India, Vietnam and Thailand.
With the fact that such bags weren't really common to people back then especially the Jute bags which kind of resemble the rice-sack bag back in the olden days.
Its slightly rough texture/ surface did make it a tad unwelcoming to the consumer.
We did have a pretty tough start for sure.
Barely making ends meet every end of the month.
However, the passion for these natural bags and the belief in them makes us hang on strong.
As luck would have it, we manage through our very first anniversary.
Both sweat and tear taste good and definitely satisfying to us.

this process strengthen the bag making it water resistant and extremely durable

- Texture feels coarse initially but after a few use, it will season up and becomes smoother

We like to dress them up with pearls, feathers, organza, sequins, beads and lace...
Straw Bags
- Made in Vietnam
- 100% real Straw material
- DESIGN your OWN BAG!!!
Mix and match these bags with the brooches we have as shown above
- Durable and Versatile
- Suitable for school, beach and semi-formal occasion
- Exclusively designed by SAC fetish
We don't like to dress our Straw bags "THE USUAL WAY"...
We like to dress them up with pearls, feathers, calf leather, vintage metal, organza, sequins, beads and lace...
As years goes by, business seem to be on the right track after much hard work.
Just as we were planning to expand, the management decides to not only double the rental but also resize the shops smaller.
Uncalled for, it was kind of like a setback to us but we refuse to give in to them and also to fate.
SAC fetish at Bugis Village eventually closed on 30th September, 2006.
We definitely do not wish to walk into history.
After many considerations and much disappointment while hunting for another ideal location/ shop space, we decide on settling ONLINE.
Without a doubt, our LOVE for the Jute and Straw bags still remain.
On 2006, 1st November we started www.sacfetish.com.
The owner herself is craze over the comfort of shopping online.
Being a Plus Size herself,
she always have trouble getting trendy and timeless wear in Singapore as what that is available in the market is really limited if not over-priced.
She totally understands what the Plus Size ladies need.
So, she decided to bring in fashion from overseas and needless to say mostly catering to the Plus Size ladies.
We strongly believe that being Plus Size doesn't mean saying good-bye to being fashionable and presentable.
